I was a long way from any computers for the whole day...up in the mountains. Cave exploring and river trekking. I almost fell in a deep part of the river where there were lots of slippery big and sharp rocks but thankfully only got almost totally soaked in the river / falls because one (or were they two) of my 'students' helped pull me out as I kept slipping to the deeper part. My legs just gave way from where I was standing balanced in the middle of the fast moving stream on two rocks in a pretty deep part before the dangerous part. I had to make sure the students didn't go to that part and the rocks were a bit slippery where we had to cross so I was there to help them cross because the tour guide with me had disappeared by that time! My mom almost drowned because her group (she ended up in charge of more than one bus because the tour guide in charge of that other bus left them) got lost (their tour guide also just disappeared and left them!). It was a last minute thing because my mom asked me to join them just about 8hrs before the field trip of their school. Apparently, one of the professors in charge of one bus backed out without telling them earlier so they couldn't find a substitute because it was way after people had gone home already. So all day yesterday, I was in charge of a bus-full load of college freshmen students (52 students) on their first field trip to the mountains where there is no signal of any kind of wireless network...
This is still a bit jumbled because I am still pretty rattled about what happened and can't seem to put into words properly what happened...
